Hi there

Chilly morning here today, so Bentley and I are snuggling near the heaters this morning with a nice cuppa..

Whilst I sip away at my tea, I decided to sit here and type up today’s post and have a chat with you all..

Today at MFT we have hit the Day 1 mark of the June Release Countdown, tomorrow is the big day, so I hope you have all your shopping lists ready as this has been a great release..

Today I chose to use dies from the previous month’s card kit called Stitched Blooms, die cutting the main flower from some Vellum, Ripe Raspberry and Pink Lemonade and the leaves from some Limelight, adhering the leaves to the flower…

I backed the flower with some twine bows and set this aside as I went to the die cutting machine again..

I took some Steel Grey card stock and the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge die, running it through my die cutting machine several times, adhering the frame together..

The inner section of the die cut, I took a sentiment from the Essential Sentiments and embossed the sentiment with White Embossing Powder..

I added another piece of Steel Grey card stock to the card base, then the frame and inner section…

Lastly, I added my flower and finished the card by adding a scattering of sequins..

Be sure to head over to the Blog to see the rest of the design teams creations and I look forward to seeing your all tomorrow for New Product Launch..

Have a fabulous day!

Hugs

Hello again Joy. WOW, this card is a stunner. Love the pop of colour of the flower and leaves against the steel grey – looks spectacular. I also love your choice of vellum for the largest flower – very classy. TFS. More ideas to “borrow” from you. hehehehe.ReplyCancel

Hello

Inching closer to the big day of shopping of the June Release at MFT..

I hope you have been enjoying viewing all the inspiration this month from the DT

Today I have a very simple card that could be used for either gender and one that could be made on an assembly line production for quick cards to be sent out..

I took a piece of white card stock and applied Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio until I was happy with the blend, set it aside to dry..

On another piece of white card stock I took the WOW die and die cut 3 times into the panel, I added foam tape to the back of the card stock and adhered the ink blended panel, so that the colours would show through to the front…

Onto Black Licorice card stock, I stamped and embossed in White Embossing Powder sentiments from the You Wow Me stamp set, adding these in between each of the die cut words..

Completing this card by adding some Clear Round Drops..

Looking forward to being back here tomorrow for Day 1..

Have a fabulous day!

Hugs

Hi there

Well we are halfway through the June Release Countdown at MFT, I hope you are liking what you have seen on the blog and from the DT..

Today I am sharing another awesome set called Beach Buds and pairing this with another wonderful stencil this month called Make Waves..

To start out I took the stamps from the set and stamped out and coloured with Copics, die cut and set aside..

Next, with a trimmed piece of white card stock and the stencil, I took some Blu Raspberry ink and applied to the centre of the trimmed card stock, once I was happy with the look, I took a circle from the Circle Stax 1 set and die cut a piece of the inked panel..

Still at the die cutting station, I took the bubbles die from the Beach Buds and on either side of the circle die feature, I die cut..

I adhered the panel to a card base and the circle I placed some foam adhesive and popped that part up..

I added my stamped images and completed the card by embossing a sentiment onto some Black Licorice card stock adding to the centre of the circle die cut and scattering of Clear Sequins…

I look forward to being back here tomorrow with another creation..

Have a fantastic day!

Hello there

Hope the start of your weekend is going well, rather chilly here this morning so we are hunkered down in front of the heaters with a nice cuppa to get the day started..

Whilst I sit with a nice cuppa I thought I would type up the next post of the MFT June Release Countdown, today is day 4 and we have even more great goodies for you to view today..

For my card today, I chose to use the cute set called Beclaws and the new stencil Geometric Stars..

I took the little crabs from the set and stamped out, coloured with Copics and die cut out..

I then trimmed a piece of white card stock down and placed my stencil in the centre of the card stock, I blended Ripe Raspberry and Lemon Drop inks to the centre of the card stock making sure to overlap the colours to give a warm glow to the card..

Next, was to stamp out some sentiments onto Black Licorice card stock, embossing with White Embossing Powder and die cutting each of the sentiments using the Hearts in a Row..

Whilst still at the die cutting machine I took the star die from Beclaws and die cut 3 stars out of some Gold Sparkle card stock..

I assembled the card by adding my crabs to the centre of the inked panel, added the two sentiments 1 above and 1 below the crabs and finally the glitter stars to complete the card..

I hope you will enjoy viewing the DT creations today, I will be back tomorrow for halfway through the release..

Have a fantastic day!

Hugs

Hello yet again Joy. I adore your little crabs and how you’ve just inked that background enough to make everything pop. I keep forgetting that I don’t HAVE to do the whole thing, that it looks quite fantastic just inked and then faded out around the edges. Awesome card. TFS.
Love this new release MFT and your ladies are doing a fabulous job of inspiring us – love that you have international designers, particularly our Aussie girl.ReplyCancel

Hi

Gosh, I cannot believe it is the first day of Winter here and we are halfway through another year..

That also means that it is the start of the new release countdown for MFT..

I start you out today with Day 5 of the countdown and a sunshine card…

I created this card using the Sunshine Shaker die in a different form…die cutting Lemon Drop card stock, making sure to keep both pieces of the die cut…

I added the sun pieces to a white card base, using the positive piece to add my pieces onto the card stock..

I then die cut some Puffy Clouds out of some white card stock that I added to the Sunshine Shaker and proceeded to die cut several layers of white card stock also die cutting the Sunshine Word, adhering each layer together..

Once the layers were adhered for dimension I took some Lemon Chiffon ink and blended the bottom half of the word, adding this to the card front..

I completed this card by stamping a sentiment from the Full of Sunshine stamp set onto some Black Licorice card stock and embossed with White Embossing Powder, adding this below the word Sunshine..

Lastly, some clear sequins…

Head on over to the Blog to see what the rest of the team have created today…

Hugs

Hello there

Tonight I am popping in to share the latest Sketch Challenge from MFT, number 387 is what we are currently at now and I sure hope you will have some time to play along this week..

Remember to head over HERE to find more inspiration and details on how you can enter for a chance at winning..

I chose to use Bundle of Baby Clothes and Welcome, Baby to put my creation together this week..

I die cut different outfits out of Dots and Stripes Confection and Tiny Hearts Pastels paper pads, adding these to a trimmed piece of white card stock that I added score lines to each ends of the card stock..

I stamped a sentiment into the middle of the card stock either side of the clothes and completed the card by die cutting a heart from Pink Lemonade and a star from Sno Cone card stocks..

I look forward to seeing what you all create this week..

Have a fabulous rest of your day..for me it is an early night…
