Thought that you might like to see another picture of our beautiful furbaby, Roly, I just love this photo of his face, he is the most loyal and loving dog. Isn’t he sweet.

This is the 2nd post for the morning, so make sure you scroll down past Roly to have a look at the card.

Have a great day!

Morning everyone. As the title says this is going to be an early post today as I have to be a work this afternoon.

I am currently showing you some of my past work that I have either made for various people or just for myself, thought that I would try and load these onto the blog first then get some new cards and projects made for you all to have a look at. You can see some of the cards on my sidebar, just a small collection so far.

This card I was again inspired by the lovely Jennifer McGuire, I made this for my Mum for her birthday last year, she loved the little owl and I still love making things with owls on them, however, my partner Darryl just rolls is eyes when I show him a card that has an owl on it and he says not another one and shakes his head…LOL. I think that he is trying to hint at me…..LOL, I am sure he is sick of seeing them….LOL. Unfortunately, that will not stop me as I just adore them.

I used some Carolee Creations paper, something bright for the card and the little owl, which I stamped the other side of the paper then cut him out, blended around his tummy with some Distress Ink, added some coloured pieces of cardstock around his eyes and a little nose, placed the googly eyes over the cardstock, pieced him together, cut out a little branch and stuck them all onto the card adding some feet and a few extra pieces of cardstock and some stamping to add some more elements to the overall card.

Well I hope that you all enjoy what is left of your weekend, think of me having to go to work….LOL. I am sure it is going to be another stinker here today heat wise, YUCK!

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi! What a hot day it was here and they say that it is going to get even hotter over the next 3-4 days. Roll on Winter I say, I just loath Summer.

I have been at work all day today so no card making today, but I will show you what I made the other day with some scrap card stock.

It seems as though everyone is trying to use up some left over stock that they have used over Christmas, so I thought that I would try and do the same.

These little flowers I gained inspiration from Dawn McVey, what a truly lovely and inspiring person she is, so thanks Dawn.

My take on these flowers were to cut them out on my Silhouette Machine ( and if anyone in Australia is looking to buy a Silhouette Machine you can buy them at Scrapbook Boutique, a link to this site is on my sidebar and I am sure the Evelyn will be more then happy to help you out) I just love my little machine and with the new people on board such as Hero Arts, House of 3 and Donna Downey over at Silhouette America, I am sure that this will become a very popular tool. They have the most amazing images to download and cut from there site and it is really easy to use. You won’t be sorry that you brought one, well worth it.

So back to the flowers I cut 2 different sizes out, scrunched them up in my hand to give it another element to the flower petals then added a button and with some twine and stuck them together. Really quick and easy way of using my scraps up and then I have them on hand to use later down the track. I am quite sure that you have seen something similar, but this is my take on some cute embellishments. (Sorry about the photography, my camera is only very basic and I am still learning…LOL).

Well I will sign off for today, need to go and have a shower after such a hot day.

Have great Saturday night everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi! Again, I forgot to show a post about what I brought at my local Scrapbook Shop yesterday. I was getting low on some cardstock so was intend on buying some of that to keep me going and yes of course you cannot go into one of these stores and only buy just one thing. I found that they had a beautiful new line of Bella papers and accessories, so I had to have some, the cardstock of course, more bling, and some more glue dots.
So cannot wait to use some of the new goodies.

I have a very big haul coming next week that I plan to share photos with you all so look out for that one.

Have a great night!

  • Hi Joy! Thanks for sending me a link to your blog, it is looking great :) Enjoy your goodies!ReplyCancel

Afternoon Everyone! As my title says, it has been one heck of a day, or should I say night and day…LOL. I spent most of last night adjusting my blog, this took me into the wee hours of this morning, along with most of today. I got so frustrated at one point because I lost my watermarking tool for my photos and had to search the net for a new version and as I am not a pro at computers it has taken me longer then most people, but YAY! I found one and now am back into the swing of things again. Although, a complete day wasted and not much work done around my house, but it will still be there for me tomorrow.

I hope that you have all had a good Friday and are looking forward to your weekend.

Now to today’s card. I made this card a little while ago for my dear friend Ev (Scrapbook Boutique), I just wanted her to know how kind, sweet and what a great friend she was to have in my life, so hence wanted to send a little card of appreciation to her.

I was inspired to make this card when I saw Jennifer McGuire’s cards she made for Stamp Camp over at Two Peas in a Bucket, she used a tone on tone affect and well I instantly fell in love with the technique (Jennifer is a truly gifted, lovely and talented lady).

I inked the edges of my cardstock with Distress Ink, then stamped the image of Hero Arts Antique Flower Background with Versamark Ink over the cardstock, embossed it with clear embossing powder, then reinked the image, this time going over the complete cardstock, giving it the tone on tone affect. I also stamped the image of a flower out of the Hero Arts Artistic Border clear designs 2 times onto white cardstock, then blended with Distress Inks to get the desired colour, I cut the flowers at 2 different sizes glued them all together and added some twine behind the flower to add to the dimension, all that was needed was the sentiment that was mounted onto the image along with flower, added some pearl and slightly Distress Inked the card.

A very fun technique which I thank Jennifer McGuire in showing this tutorial. I recommend anyone having a go at this. It is always great to get those fingers all inked up don’t you think?

Time for me to sign this post off now, I do hope that you all have a great Friday night.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi! Everyone and welcome to my first blog post. I have succumbed to the world of blogging, after much persuasion from my dear friend Evelyn the owner of Scrapbook Boutique, I have now joined the many lists of bloggers. I do hope that you enjoy the journey with me and that you find inspiration in what I create.

Now just a short note about me. I have been stamping for approximately 16 years although at times have taken breaks from the crafting world. Currently I guest design for a company mentioned above called Scrapbook Boutique, you can find the information on my sidebar. I have only recently been designing, but in this short time it has made me grow and has encouraged me to expand on my work. I truly love doing what I am doing, although only in my spare time as I work part time, so in that time I love to be in my favourite room, the craft room.

My craft room is currently undergoing construction and is almost in completion, my partner Darryl has been designing and building all of my craft furniture, he has done a truly fabulous job and I cannot be more proud of what he has done for me. So enough babble from me, now to my first cards for the new blog:

These set of cards I drew inspiration from Michelle Wooderson and Heather Nichols. All are kraft cardstock, stamped with Darkroom Door Dots background stamp, stamped in white with hearts punched out of various patterned papers, buttons were added to the middle card to add another layer of dimension, sentiments stamped and all mounted onto the cards with corners rounded. Quite cute I thought for Valentines Day, something quick and easy to give. I hope you enjoy.

Have a great evening everyone!
