Afternoon everyone, well I am home from work after a long day and I can now relax as I don’t have to go to work until tomorrow afternoon, so I am hoping to be able to pop into the craft room later on.

I made this card last night, I had brought some new stamps and I so wanted to try them out, so I made this quick card.

I started with Kraft card stock for the base card, I then stamped the little Japanese Girl from the Hero Arts, Good Fortune stamp set and the Fan that is also in the same set onto the card, I coloured both of the images with my prismacolor pencils, added a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Valentines Sayings. Lastly, stamped some little dragonflies from the Hero Arts, Good Fortune stamp set over the card to add to the card.

Hope you like what you see.

Enjoy your Saturday night, anyone doing anything exciting?

Catch you all later.

Afternoon everyone! I hope that you are enjoying your day, I know I am, we are currently having some nice well needed rain so I am loving that.

I am also having a great day because last night I took the plunge and submitted cards for a competition that Hero Arts is running at present. I joined the Hero Arts Flickr group and was overwhelmed by the response that I have received already about my cards, there has been the most beautiful comments made and I thank each and everyone of you for that, but I am also excited because through taking the plunge and joining this group I have had several visitors to my blog so this was exciting and now another 2 followers, YAY! LOL.

I also have a special thank you to make to my dear friend Evelyn who gave me the encouragement, support and push to drive myself to do this, and I cannot thank her enough. So thanks Ev you are a true gem.

Okay onto today’s card, my friend asked me to make some cards for her so that she was organised this year to send to people, so today’s card I made an owl card for her, her Aunty just loves owls. As do I………LOL.

I started with a Hero Arts note card, Pink, I then took a purple and pink piece of card stock and stamped Hero Arts, Antique Flower background stamp onto the purple card stock with Versamark ink and on the pink piece of card stock I stamped Hero Arts, Dots and Flowers background stamp in a light pink ink, I wanted to make my own paper image. I punched a border strip on the pink cardstock with my Fiskars, Scalloped Sentiment border punch, attatched the pink and purple card stocks together, then added a strip of cream to cover the joined edges and glued it to the card. I then reached for some scratch white card stock and stamped a little owl from the Kelly Panacci, Twit Twoo stamp set and coloured the owl in with my Prismacolor pencils, I cut the owl out and added dimensionals underneath and placed the owl onto the card, drew some little legs on. I added a Hero Arts sentiment to the top of the card and some dots using my white gel pen to add another dimension to the card, lastly I added some liquid pearls to the dots and flowers punched border stamped card stock.

Love this little owl, and if you know me I love to make owl cards………..LOL.

Enjoy the card, let’s hope that it gives you a little inspiration.

Have a great Friday, think of me tomorrow at work all day!!

Adorable card!So glad you joined the Hero Arts Flickr group too – love seeing your creations.ReplyCancel

Evening all, nearly the end of the week. I have had a busy day today, went and got my hair cut for which I was in real need of seeing as I had the last cut back in the first week of December, so I was really feeling like the woolie mammoth. But now I feel human again.

Tonight’s card I made using a Hero Arts stamp. I started with kraft card stock for the base card, I then grabbed some pieces of paper out of my 6 x 6 Basic Grey, Nook and Pantry paper pad and also some paper out of my 8 x8 Making Memories, Ledger Paper pad. I stamped Hero Arts, Artistic Borders, flower onto the 3 sheets of paper, I then cut each of the flowers out making sure I cut the middle 2 smaller in size, I placed a Basic Grey, Nook and Pantry brad through the centre to hold the flower together. I also stamped the flower stem from the same Hero Arts stamp set onto some green paper from the Basic Grey, 6 x 6 Lemonade paper pad, I cut the stem out and glued it to the card, I then added dimensionals under the flower and placed it on top of the stem, I added a sentiment to the base of the card, soften the edges of the sentiment with Ranger, Distress Ink, Antique Linnen and placed some bling to the bottom of the sentiment. Lastly, I added stitching lines with my white gel pen around the edge of the card to give it a border.

Enjoy tonights card along with your evening and I will hopefully catch you all tomorrow.

Have a good night.

This is so beautiful! Your layered flower looks wonderful and I love it against the kraft.ReplyCancel

Morning everyone. How is your Wednesday going, remember, great day of the week, because it is the middle and it is the downhill run to the weekend, but not for me unfortunately, I work this weekend, boohoo! Someone has to do it I suppose……….LOL.

I had a late night last night, in between watching Grey’s Anatomy and making a card I got to bed late, glad that I was able to have a sleep in today. By the way wasn’t Grey’s Anatomy great, so sad about George though, cannot wait until next week.

Onto today’s card, I decided that I wanted to keep having more practice with my Copics, for which I need a lot. I stamped onto some scratch white card stock Hero Arts, Wallpaper Flowers stamp in Memento Tuxedo black ink and coloured the image with my copics. I then cut the image out and decided that the white was a little too stark so, I blended some Ranger, Distress Ink, Antique Linnen around the edge to soften it and mounted it with dimensionals to an aqua coloured card, at the bottom of the card I stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts, Truly Appreciated stamp set to finish the card off.

Here is a photo of the Copics that I used to colour the image.

I hope that you enjoy this card as much as I do.

Thanks for visiting.

Catch you next time.

Gorgeous card and wonderful colouring. I’m still trying to learn how to colour with markers – it’s harder than I thought it would be!ReplyCancel

  • These are gorgeous, I hope one day you might do a tutorial video on copics!ReplyCancel

Hi All, hope you have had a fantastic day. I had an early start this morning for work and with not much sleep last night I am surprised that today’s card came together. Although, not sure about it.

I used white card stock for the base card, then on a piece of Stampin Up’s Sage Shadow card stock I stamped the Hero Arts, Dots and Flowers background stamp in Colorbox Ink, Rainforest, Celadon. I then added some Ranger Liquid Pearls, White Opal as accents to the background. I had already pre made a poofy flower (thanks Dawn McVey tutorial), attatching a K & Company Margo Fabric Stitched Brad through the centre to hold the flower together, I then stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts, Truly Appreciated stamp set to the top of the card, attatched the stamped background card stock to the bottom of the card and added dimensionals under the flower and attatched it to the card also, lastly added some pearls for some added interest.

Enjoy tonight’s card, I should be able to take better photos of my cards soon as I just purchased a new light tent and camera stand, just need to get some lamps and I should be all set, so in the mean time bear with me…..LOL.

Have a lovely night everyone.

Evening all, hope you have all had a fabulous day. Not much news to tell you all so I will get straight into today’s card.

I finally got around to using some of the Bella, Ever After line that I picked up at my local Scrapbook store not long ago. I started with white card stock for the base card, I then added a strip of Fairy Tale paper along the bottom of the white card, then got out my trusty new sewing machine that I got for my birthday of my Mum, stitched along the top edge of the paper and card. I made a poofy flower and attatched one of the Ever After line brads through the centre to hold the flower together (thanks to Dawn McVey for this great idea). I added a small loop of the ribbon in this collection to the under side of the flower, then proceeded to attatch the flower to the card. I added a Hero Arts sentiment and lastly some blue pearls to finish the card.

This line from Bella stumped me for some reason, I loved it when I first saw it and I still do, but could not think of how and what I wanted to make………..LOL, sometimes that happens to me, I call it brain dropping out of gear……….LOL.

Have a great night everyone.
