Evening everyone, sorry about the late posting tonight, it has been incredibly hot here today and my craft room has been as well, so I have not felt like sitting in there to work on a card, but once the sun went off that side of the house I was able to go in there after tea and create one for you.

I started with white card stock for the base card, set it aside and reached for another piece of white card stock, I then grabbed my Ranger, Distress Inks, Shabby Shutters, Weathered Wood and Dusty Concord and blended the piece of white card stock to the desired affect that I was after, I then spritz it with Tattered Angels, Glimmer Mist, Pearl to give it a sheen. I stamped with black ink, butterflies from the Hero Arts, Birds and Butterflies stamp set over the now coloured card stock rounded the corners and added dimensionals under the stamped card stock and attatched to the card. I cut a small strip of purple card stock and punched a border with my Fiskars, Scalloped Sentiment border punch, I cut a small strip off the white card at the bottom then attatched the purple punched strip to the edge that had been cut, I added some purple bling to the scallops and lastly, I added a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Truly Appreciated stamp set and rounded the corners of the top of the card.

Here is another view of the card so that you can see the Glimmer Mist, it is hard to see in a photo but it does give the image a beautiful sheen.

Enjoy tonight’s card along with what is left of your evening.

Hope to catch you tomorrow.

Have a great night.

Afternoon everyone, I hope you are enjoying your Wednesday, all I can say is that I am glad it is Wednesday as I only have one more day left of work after today, YAY!

I made a card today using a couple of my new stamp sets from Hero Arts. I started with Kraft card stock for the card base, then stamped Hero Arts, Old Letter Writing with Ranger, Distress Ink, Antique Linen to make a background affect, I then blended the edges of the card with Ranger, Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy and set this aside. I stamped the large flower from the Hero Arts, Big and Small Flowers stamp set onto some scratch white card stock along with the leaf 3 times from the same stamp set, I coloured the images with my Copics (see photo below of what colours I used) I cut the images out and set these aside. I took some cream card stock and stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Truly Appreciated stamp set, I then blended some Ranger, Distress Ink, Antique Linen over the sentiment and corner rounded the corners. Lastly, I added dimensionals under the sentiment and the flower which were attatched to the card, glued the leaves underneath the flower, added some pearls and corner rounded the corners to match the sentiment.

Here is a photo of the Copics used.

I hope you enjoy what you see, have a great day everyone and I will catch you all tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.

Morning everyone, I hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday, I am glad it is Tuesday as I only have 3 days left of work before I get the weekend off, and you know what that means, yes more playing in the craft room.

I made a card late last night, just playing really and I ended up with this.

I started with white for my card base, then ran it through my cuttlebug machine with the Quickutz Embossing Folder, Polka Dots, small, I set that aside and reached for some scrap white card stock, I then stamped one of the Hero Arts, Big and Small Flowers stamp twice onto the card stock, along with the leaf design that is in the same stamp set and coloured them with my copics (see photo below for what copics I used). I cut each image out and set aside. I then cut a small strip of pink card stock and stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Birthday Sayings stamp set onto this, I added some white dots along the edge of the pink card stock, glued it to my card and added the images that I had set aside with some dimensionals, lastly I added some pearls to finish the card.

I hope you enjoy today’s card. Enjoy your day.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hi All, I have decided to enter my very first Blog Challenge and that I would enter Lucy’s polka dot challenge.

I made this card for a previous blog post, a little while ago, which contained a set of 3 cards, using Papertrey Ink, Everyday Button stamp set, I started with purple as the card base, then using a Spellbinders, Labels Eight die, I cut a piece of white card stock then sponged using Papertrey Ink, Aqua Mist ink over the die cut to make a sky affect, once completed I stamped the image onto the die cut and added some buttons. On the card itself I stamped Darkroom Door, Dots background stamp in Versamark ink and clear embossed the dots, once heat set I added my image with some dimensionals to the card and lastly a sentiment from the same stamp set to the bottom of the card.

I hope you like what you see.

Have a great night.

Afternoon all, I trust that everyone is enjoying their weekend, I do hope that some of you have been able to play in your craft room and create. Even though I have been working and have to work today I have managed to go into my craft room to create.

I created a card today that my friend asked me to make for her Dad who has just had back surgery, I don’t know about anyone else, but I find that making male cards are not my strong point. However, with the help of the Hero Arts catalogue for inspiration I managed to create one and I hope that it is okay.

Kraft card stock was used for the base card, I then reached for some scratch white card stock and stamped the Hero Arts, Good Fortune, the lantern 3 times onto the card stock, I coloured the images with my copics (you can view a photo below to see what colours I used) I cut them out, set them aside then stamped the same image onto the card itself, I then placed the coloured lanterns on top of the stamped images with some dimensionals added some dragonflies from the same Hero Arts, Good Fortune stamp set added longer tails onto the dragonflies with my black pen. Lastly, stamped a get well message from the Hero Arts, Everyday Sayings set and added some black pearls to complete the card.

I hope that you like the card and that you take some extra time to browse through the other cards that I have made on my blog for some inspiration.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Thanks for stopping by.
