Evening everyone! Very late post tonight, sorry about that, I have been at work and then had to come home and finish the card off, was feeling rather tired tonight, so took me a little longer to get motivated to finish the card.
I started with green card stock for card, I stamped Hero Arts, Design Block Flourish in Versamark Ink over the front of the card, set aside to dry, I took some pink card stock and ran it through my Cuttlebug, cutting it with my Spellbinder Die, Scalloped Square, I then cut a cream square of card stock to fit the centre of the die cut, glued the card stocks together and added dimensionals and placed onto card. I had some left over butterflies that I had cut of on my Silhouette machine the other day so I decided to colour them in using some Stampin Up, Certainly Celery ink, I then glued all 4 butterflies together making them appear to be dimensional (Jennifer McGuire used this technique). I spritzed the butterflies with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Pearl and left to dry, once dry I added some pearls to the centre of the butterfly and glued to the cream card stock, I then drew the feelers on. Lastly, I added a Hero Arts, Valentines Saying sentiment stamp to the bottom of the card along with some pearls.
Another view of card.
Enjoy tonights card, something a little different to what I have been doing lately. A sweet card for any wonderful friend.
Have a great night for what is left. I will hopefully catch you all tomorrow.
Evening All! I gather that everyone had a good day today, being the start of the week, or did everyone have Mondayitis…LOL. It has been rather a warm, muggie day here today, thought that we might have received more rain, but nothing at present, keep wishing I suppose.
Well tonight’s card, I decided to make another flower card, I started with pink card stock for the base card. I took some white card stock and ran it through my Cuttlebug embossing it with a Quickutz, Polka Dots Small folder, I then took my Ranger, Distress Inks, Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen and blended over the top of the embossed card stock until I was satisfied with the end result, I corner rounded the corners and set aside to dry. Whilst the card stock was drying I took another lot of white card stock and stamped a flower from the Hero Arts, Aritistic Borders and a stem from the Big and Small Flower stamp set with my Tuxedo Memento Black Ink, the flower I stamped 3 times and the stem once, I then coloured the images in with my Copics (see photo below for colours used) once coloured in I cut the stem and 3 different sizes of the flower and mounted them all together, this gave the image a layered look, I mounted the flower and stem onto the blended card stock with dimensionals and lastly, added a sentiment form the Hero Arts, Birthday Sayings stamp set at the bottom of the card and mounted the blended card stock with dimensionals to the pink card.
Here is a photo of the Copics used.
I hope that you are enjoying your evening, I will be back tomorrow with another post.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi everyone! So how was everyone’s weekend? Mine has been hectic, Saturday and Sunday I had to work so not much time to play in the craft room, although, I have managed to make a card for tonight’s post, and yes, it is another distress ink card……..LOL.
Tonight’s card I started with a piece of card stock that is similar to kraft, I stamped Hero Arts, Design Block Flourish stamp with Versamark Ink over the card stock and sewed around the edges of this piece of card stock, distressed the edges with my scissors and took my Ranger, Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen and started to blend until I was completley satisfied with the end result, I set this aside so that the ink would have time to dry. Then using white card stock I cut 3 different sized butterflies out on my Silhouette Machine and blended them with Ranger, Distress Ink, Dusty Concord and Milled Lavender to get the desired look, I misted them with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Pearl and once dried I glued them to the distressed piece of card stock. I added a Hero Arts, Truly Appreciated sentiment to the bottom of the card stock, lastly, I added some bling to match and mounted it onto the card with some dimensionals.
I hope that you like tonight’s card and some inspiration from this card helps you to design one of your own.
Have great evening everyone.
(Also little reminder, don’t forget to drop over to Jennifer McGuire’s blog to read up on Cards for Kids, a wonderful drive that Jennifer and the other ladies are running, such a small gift that can bring a beautiful smile to a child and their families).
Thanks for stopping by!
Afternoon all, I am currently on my lunch break so I have decided to post now instead of later on as I know that I am going to be exhausted by the end of my shift, we have been flat out.
So today’s card is another, yes you guessed it distressed card, I know, I know I have a problem, but I just love these so much……..LOL.
I started with a green card for the base card, I then took Hero Arts, Old Letter Writing and stamped it with Ranger, Distress Ink, Peeled Paint, I covered the entire front of the card and also blended the edges, I set this aside to dry. I then took some scratch white card stock and inked up a Hero Arts, Special Edition, Creative Tree with Ranger, Distress Ink, Peeled Paint and spritz it with some water using my Ranger, Mini Mister and stamped onto the white card stock, I then heat set the image and took my sewing machine and sewed around the edges (mind you not very good……..LOL). I then distressed the edges and blended them with some Ranger, Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy and Antique Linen, I mounted it to the card using dimensionals. I added a sentiment to the bottom of the card using a brown strip of card stock and stamped a Hero Arts, Birthday Sayings sentiment and glued it to the green card.
Enjoy today’s card, I look forward in showing another card tomorrow, and yes it could possibly be another distress card………LOL, I just think when you are on a good wicket and love something then go for it.
Have a fabulous day.
Morning Everyone. I just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate the winners of the first round of the Hero Arts competition, there was some amazing creations and everyone should be very proud of their works. To the girls that have won, enjoy your prize. Good luck to everyone for the next round.
Well decided to post early today as I have the rest of the house work to get done and make a card for a lady that will be here to pick it up this afternoon, so best get cracking.
Before you even say it, I know another Distress card, I can hear all the sighs………LOL, sorry guys just on a roll with that yummy stuff at present…..LOL.
I started with green card stock for the base of card, then on a scratch piece of white card stock I stamped Hero Arts, Long Leaf Flower Border with Versamark Ink 3 times and each time masking the previous one already stamped, I embossed the image with clear embossing powder. I then got my trusty Ranger, Distress Inks, Dried Marigold and Worn Lipstick and started to blend into the middle, this as you all no is embossed resist, once I was happy with the result, I distressed the edges of the image and added some more Ranger, Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy. I also decided that I needed to have a little something else to the image so I stamped Hero Arts, Good Fortune, Butterfly in 3 different spots on the image. I added some dimensionals to the image and added it to the card. At the bottom of the card I stamped Hero Arts, Everyday Sayings sentiment in Versamark Ink and embossed it with some American Crafts, Zing, White powder. Lastly, added some black pearls either side of the embossed sentiment.
I hope you like today’s card, I will try and stay away from the Distress Inks today, I won’t promise anything, because you have to admit that it is very addictive………LOL.
Have a great Friday everyone.
Hi! Well talk about a busy day, getting groceries, trying to catch up on some blogs that I have not been able to view lately, clean part of my house and trying to do a card for today’s posting, it really has been quite a day.
I decided to keep going with my blending tools seeing as they were out and make a male card. I started off with some Kraft card stock, as you can guess, one of my favourite card stocks….LOL. I then took my blending tools and blended Ranger, Distress Inks, Brushed Corduroy and Antique linen around the edges, to finish the look I took my Hero Arts, Design Block Tree stamp and stamped with Versamark Ink over the top and set aside to dry. I then took some scratch white card stock and stamped Hero Arts, Birds and Butterflies stamp with Colorbox Ink, Rainforest, Moss Green and cut around the image, I added some Ranger, Distress Ink, Shabby Shutters around the edge of image and attatched some dimensionals and placed it onto the card. Lastly, I added a sentiment from Hero Arts, Birthday Sayings to the bottom of the card and some bling.
Something that was very quick and yet easy to make at the same time.
As I said at the start of this post that I would share my little scrapbook haul that I got the other day. I received my parcel of goodies from Scrapbook Boutique. I cannot wait to try out the Binderie Punch and the new Embossing Folders for my Cuttlebug that have been exclusivly made for Australia, I also brought some more Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to try out and yes you guessed it some more Kraft card stock, along with a pink pack of card stock, a girl can never have too many products……….LOL, there are a couple of other items in my haul but I won’t bore you too much with the details, the photo should speak for itself.
I hope you all have a great evening and I will catch you all tomorrow.
