Hello Everyone! Sorry I wasn’t around yesterday, but due to catching a bug which caused me to vomit(sorry I know you did not need the graphics..LOL) I did not feel like doing too much. Still feeling a little flat today but much better then I was yesterday.

Anyway, I have a card for you today, but first I wanted to let you know that I have now managed to add a gadget to the side bar of my blog that will allow you to sign up to receive emails about my posts.

So today’s card I played with my new set of stamps and had fun creating this sweet card. I stated with white card stock, cut to size and folded in half to form a card, I set this aside. Taking more white card stock I stamped the measuring tape from the Hero Arts, Sew Stylish stamp set four times onto the card stock, I then took Ranger, Distress Ink, Victorian Velvet and inked over the top of the stamped tapes making it look vintage, I cut each tape out and adhered to one side of my card. Next, using the new paper pad from Basic Grey, Olivia I stamped the sewing machine from the Hero Arts, Sew Artsy stamp set directly onto the patterned paper, adding some highlights with my Copic marker and cut the image out. Using the same stamp, I stamped directly onto the card front so as to have a mirror image, I attached the patterned paper sewing machine over the top with some foam dimensionals and lastly, added a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Essential Messages stamp set at the bottom of the card to finish.

A cute little card that was super quick to make and kind cute.

So I hope you are all enjoying the start of your weekend and I look forward to bringing you another creation tomorrow.

Oh and also if any questions that need to be answered don’t forget that you can email me or drop me a quick question through formspring, both are on my sidebar, I have a couple of people asking me questions through the comments section and I cannot reply back, I would love to answer your questions but if you could use the other methods that would be fabulous.

Hi Everyone! Yes I know before you even say anything, I have been a very bad blogger this week, sorry. Life hectic, work, home life and really not much time spent in the craft room due to hours at work.

So as a peace offering I thought that I would share two things with you today, one being a card and the other being a video on the goodies that have arrived during the last couple of weeks.

So firstly the card.

I started with pink card stock, cut to size, folded in half to form a card and then taking the Hero Arts, Flourish background stamp I inked it up with some Hero Arts, Soft Blossom ink and covered the entire front of the card, I set this aside to dry. Next, taking a piece of white card stock I stamped the Hero Arts, Little Stencil Flower stamp using some pink ink on the flower head and green ink on the leaves and stems I stamped onto the white card stock, I heat set the stamped image, once dry I took the Hero Arts, Friend Definition background stamp I inked it up using some Hero Arts, Soft Sand ink and stamped over the flower. Next, taking my Prismacolor Pencils I added more definition to the flower by adding contrasts of colours (a technique that the lovely and talented Lisa Spangler uses occasionally). When it comes to looking through all my stationery products, I think I will have to say that my Prismacolour pencils are my some of my favourites. Of course, essentials like pens and pencils are up there too, but with these colours, it allows me to be more creative and create products like this card. I then cut another piece of white card stock to form a tag and stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Birthday Sayings stamp set and attached each piece to the card using Tombow Mono Applicator and foam dimensionals. Lastly, I added pink rhinestones to match the card.

Here is another view of the card:

A card that is super easy to make and one that allows different techniques, however, I do need a bit more practice at using the pencils, especially the leaf parts..LOL.

So I hope you have enjoyed the card and now for the little video on my goodies.

So that is it for me today, I am now off to get some tea and watch a little TV, possibly clean up the craft room (Hmmmm? maybe that is why I have not created this week..LOL) and maybe get some stamping done.

I am looking forward to bringing you some Digital stamped cards this week also.

Hugs for now.

Hi Everyone! So work is over and done with for the day, and WOW! was it busy, so pleased I am now home to relax.

So I wanted to share with you a card that I designed for Scrapbook Boutique, I wanted to create a card using another one of the Pure Innocence stamps, are they not the sweetest stamps you have ever seen? I plan on adding more to my collection, mind you of a whole 2 stamps that I have so far, so good excuse to add more..LOL.

So I started with Kraft cards stock, cut to size, folded in half and using my Hero Arts, Cling Dot background stamp, I inked it up using some Colorbox Ink, Frost White and covered the entire front of the card, I set this aside to dry. Next, I took a piece of white card stock, cut it to size and stamped the My Favourite things, Pure Innocence, Start the Day with a Whee stamp, I coloured the image in with my Copics and adhered it to a piece of red card stock cut slightly bigger then the white card stock that the image was stamped onto, I attached the card stocks to the front of the card using some foam dimensionals. I took another piece of white card stock and cut a tag, I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and used my bone folder to make waves in the card stock, I adhered it to the bottom of the card and lastly, I added some rhinestones to finish the card.

Love these sweet little stamps, they are so fun to colour in and really just a quick and easy card to create.

So I hope you are all enjoying your Saturday night and your weekend so far.

Looking forward in returning here tomorrow to share another creation.

I am off to get a cuppa and relax a bit.

Hi All! so it is Friday and usually I would be saying YAY! But tonight I am saying NAY! As I have to go to work tomorrow and will be working for the next 5 days in a row, but once I reach the end I will officially only have 4 days left of work until I have my break of 6 days and my trip to the big Craft Show, I am so getting excited.

So first up tonight I wanted to share with you some news, thanks to my friend Sarah for pointing this out to me on Twitter, one of my cards was featured on the Silhouette Blog, you can check it out HERE, this was a fun card to make and it was the card that I made for Cards for Grace, for which I am hoping arrived.

Now, lets get on with the card for tonight’s blog post. I made this card for my wonderful friend, she needed a card made for her Aunty, who is mad on Owls, so hence another owl card and a great way of using up some of my patterned paper, seeing as I keep buying and never using it.

I started with white card stock, cut to size, folded in half and set aside. Next, taking some patterned paper from My Minds Eye, Quite Contrary collection I cut a piece to fit the entire front of the card and adhered. I then took a Label 8 die from Spellbinder and ran a piece of white card stock through my Cuttlebug, cutting a die cut. After cutting the die cut, I took the branch stamp from the Hero Arts, Kiss the Sun and stamped it onto the die cut, I coloured the branch in with my Copics. I stamped the owl from the Hero Arts, Owl Trio onto the die cut making sure the feet of the owl was sitting on the branch, I also stamped the owl onto some more patterned paper from the same collection and cut the body of the owl out, I adhered the body of the owl to the stamped owl on the die cut using some foam dimensionals. Next, taking a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Huge Hugs stamp set I stamped it onto the die cut, I attached the die cut to the card and lastly, I added some googly eyes to finish the card.

So a sweet and quick little card to make for someone.

Well I hope you all enjoy your Friday night, I am off to more computer work, watch some TV and maybe do some crafting.

Hi! So today was a complete day of rest for me, absolutely nothing done around the house, mostly computer work, watched a really funny DVD and made tonight’s card for the blog.

So I have tried my hand at a digital design, I was so inspired to make a card using the Ice Cream Sundae out of the Hero Arts Digi Kit, called A Sweet Birthday. I saw Lucy’s card that she created for Hero Arts and I fell in love with it so seeing as this months competition is Food, Travel and Bookmaking over at Hero Arts, I thought why not have a go at creating my very first Digi Card. So thank you Lucy for inspiring me to try digital designs.

I started with Kraft card stock, cut to size, folded in half and using the Hero Arts, Flourish Background stamp (sorry guys, I think I have a slight addiction to this stamp, may need help to ween me off this soon, LOL) so I inked the stamp up with some Colorbox Ink, Frost White, I set this aside to dry. Next, I loaded my Ice Cream Sundae Digital Image onto a document page and re-sized the image to fit onto my card, I then took patterned paper from the Basic Grey, Capella 6 x 6 paper pad and printed the image onto 3 sheets of patterned paper along with white card stock to form the base image. I cut the various pieces out and adhered them to the image that was on the white card stock. I added some shading with my Copics and coloured the cherry on top with my Copics also. Once I was happy with the paper piecing and the colouring I adhered it to some matching coloured card stock and mounted it onto the card with some foam dimensionals. I took more of the coloured card stock and created a banner, I stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Everyday Sayings, once the banner was completed I adhered it to the card using some foam dimensionals. Lastly, I added some Glossy Accents to the cherry to give it some gloss and some white dots to the ice cream for some added interest.

Here is a close up of the Digital Image.

So why not give a digital image a try, it is really fun and there are lots to choose from, just a little something to try in the world of stamping.

So I am off to do more computer work and work in the craft room.

  • this is so sweet! beautiful paper piecing and coloring! love it!ReplyCancel

Hi Everyone! So today is hump day, and after working today, I have 2 days off before having to work the weekend.

So I wanted to share a card with you today that I created for Scrapbook Boutique and for a dear friend, (and when she reads this post she will know who she is, I hope that this made you smile and know that you are a really true friend, thank you).

I started with purple card stock, cut to size, folded in half and using the Hero Arts, Flourish Background stamp I stamped the entire front of the card using some Hero Arts, Shadow Ink, Soft Lilac. Next, I took some white card stock and cut a Label 8 die cut using my Spellbinder and running it through my Cuttlebug, I took the die cut and using the Hero Arts, Friend Definition stamp I inked it up with some Hero Arts, Shadow Ink, Soft Sand and covered the entire die cut. Taking more white card stock, I stamped a daisy from the Just Rite, My Garden stamp set two times and coloured the images in with my Copics, I cut each image out, making sure that I cut one smaller then the other, I attached each flower together with some foam dimensionals and set aside. Taking the stamped die cut, I stamped the stem from the Hero Arts, Big and Small Flower stamp set onto the die cut and coloured this in with my Copics, once coloured in I attached the flower to the top of the stem using more foam dimensionals. I added a sentiment to the bottom of the die cut from the Hero Arts, Thoughtful Messages stamp set and a dragonfly above the sentiment from the Hero Arts, Good Fortune stamp set. I adhered the die cut to the front of the card using foam dimensionals and lastly, I added some purple rhinestones to the die cut for more interest.

Here is another view of the card.

I hope you enjoy your day today and that you have a little time for yourself.

So I am off to get some breakfast and start my day!
