Hi Everyone! So today is hump day, and after working today, I have 2 days off before having to work the weekend.

So I wanted to share a card with you today that I created for Scrapbook Boutique and for a dear friend, (and when she reads this post she will know who she is, I hope that this made you smile and know that you are a really true friend, thank you).

100_4157

I started with purple card stock, cut to size, folded in half and using the Hero Arts, Flourish Background stamp I stamped the entire front of the card using some Hero Arts, Shadow Ink, Soft Lilac. Next, I took some white card stock and cut a Label 8 die cut using my Spellbinder and running it through my Cuttlebug, I took the die cut and using the Hero Arts, Friend Definition stamp I inked it up with some Hero Arts, Shadow Ink, Soft Sand and covered the entire die cut. Taking more white card stock, I stamped a daisy from the Just Rite, My Garden stamp set two times and coloured the images in with my Copics, I cut each image out, making sure that I cut one smaller then the other, I attached each flower together with some foam dimensionals and set aside. Taking the stamped die cut, I stamped the stem from the Hero Arts, Big and Small Flower stamp set onto the die cut and coloured this in with my Copics, once coloured in I attached the flower to the top of the stem using more foam dimensionals. I added a sentiment to the bottom of the die cut from the Hero Arts, Thoughtful Messages stamp set and a dragonfly above the sentiment from the Hero Arts, Good Fortune stamp set. I adhered the die cut to the front of the card using foam dimensionals and lastly, I added some purple rhinestones to the die cut for more interest.

Here is another view of the card.

I hope you enjoy your day today and that you have a little time for yourself.

So I am off to get some breakfast and start my day!

Hi Everyone! So firstly I want to wish My Man very big Birthday Wishes, even though we both had to work today I know that he enjoyed his day. We have just finished tea and I made his favourite meal and now we are relaxing in front of the TV.

So the card that I wish to share with you tonight is the birthday card that I made for him. Darryl is an avid fisherman so this card was very fitting for him. :)

100_4258

I started with blue card stock, cut to size, folded in half and using the Hero Arts, Flourish Background stamp, I stamped the front of the card using some Colorbox Ink, Frost White, I set this aside to dry. Next, I took some paper from the October Afternoon, Fly a Kite 8 x 8 paper pad and using my Spellbinder, Circle Die, I cut a circle using my Cuttlebug. I then took some white card stock and stamped a fish from the Hero Arts, Oceans of Joy and coloured the fish in with my Copics, once the image was coloured, I cut it out and set aside. I took the circle and adhered this to the front of the card and using the stamp again I stamped onto the circle, I adhered the coloured image to the image that was stamped onto the circle with some foam dimensionals. I added some some bubbles from the same stamp set to the circle, coloured them in and added some Glossy Accents to them. Whilst the Glossy Accents was drying I took more white card stock, making a tag and stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set also, I then adhered this tag to the card using some foam dimensionals. Lastly, I added some rhinestones to the card and a boggly eye to the fish to finish the card.

Here is a closer view of the fish.

For this card I drew inspiration from the lovely, talented and inspiring Nichol Magouirk, she created cards using the circle that you can check out HERE.

I thought that this card turned out really cute and Darryl was happy with his card too.

Hope you all enjoyed your day, I will be back tomorrow with another creation.

Hi Everyone! So how did your weekend end up? Mine was over in a flash and I wished it could have been longer. Feeling rather tired today with lots of late nights so tonight will be early tea and early to bed.

So first up today I needed to make a correction on the Layout that I created yesterday, it was not until a little while after posting it on my blog did I realise the boo, boo that I had done, although sort of. You see the title says Fox Spires, it was suppose to read Foxglove Spires, this is the name of the garden that I visit. Although, I have this habit of calling it Fox Spires so in some sort of way it is correct for the layout, anyways, I thought that if anyone picked this up I should go back and correct it, so I used the same paper that I had journaled onto and placed it in between both words so that it was not to look out of place, but still go with the theme of how I say it, hope that makes sense…LOL. So enough babble, I thought that I would show you another photo of the layout.

100_4248

Now onto the card that I have created for you today, I started with some Stampin Up card stock and I think that it is called Sage Shadow, I cut it to size, folded in half and using Papertrey Ink, Polka Dot Basics 2 stamp set I stamped the entire front of the card using some Versamark Ink, I set this aside to dry. Next, using some vellum I took the Papertrey Ink, Beautiful Blooms Die 2, #3 Collection and I cut 2 of the largest flower and 1 each of the smaller flowers from the die collection through my Cuttlebug. I placed all of the flowers together and placed a My Minds Eye, Lush Collection Pearl Brad through the centre of the flowers to hold them together. Also using more vellum I cut a strip and stamped a sentiment from the Papertrey Ink, Signature Greetings stamp set onto the vellum, I adhered the vellum to the card, making sure that I had enough over hang on the sides to wrap and glue to the inside of the card, seemingly making the vellum float on the card. Lastly, I adhered the flower to the top of the vellum strip using a foam dimensional.

100_4208

A simple, yet elegant card that makes a statement using vellum.

So enjoy the card today, I will be back tomorrow with more.

Before I shoot off today, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for you wonderful, sweet comments either on my blog, twitter or over at Flickr about my very first layout that I created, I cannot thank you enough, these wonderful comments has made me feel more confident to go ahead and produce more layouts in the future, so thanks everyone!

Okay so I am off to put out a load of washing and get some tea organised so that I can sit and relax, watch a small amount of TV and bed (I lead a fabulous, exciting life don’t I…LOL)

Hugs

Hi Everyone! So how was your weekend? Mine has been good, still nothing done around the house, but at least I got lots of crafting done..LOL.

So as the post heading says, I did my very first layout today, I do tell a little fib, I had a go a long time ago and well it ended up in the bin, so I don’t consider that my first layout, today I say this is my very first..LOL.

So I have been wanting to scrap about my trip to the South Coast, I have visited this area quite a few times and love it each time I visit. There is a small town called Tilba, and within this town there is an amazing garden that has quite a few acres, I love it each time I visit, it is truly beautiful to walk around or sit in little hidden areas and sit and relax. If you know me, my mind and head are forever racing and never seems to settle, this place is the only place that I have found that makes me feel at peace and that my mind relaxes.

So I decided to take the plunge after some encouraging words from some of my friends over at twitter, thank you girls :)

100_4239

The page is a blank white card stock 12 x 12 page, stamped with Hero Arts, Flourish background stamp, inked with Soft Sand ink. At the bottom of the page I have used Soft Pink ink and stamped along the entire bottom of the 12 x 12 page using the Hero Arts, Garden Bouquet stamp. I created a title for my page using some American Crafts Thickers, Gift Box, Black, around the title and my journaling spot I punched some patterned paper from the My Minds Eye, Quite Contrary Collection with some Martha Stewart butterfly punches and adhered them to my page.

Here are some more close up views of my page.

I was really happy with the outcome of the layout and that I was able to incorporate something I love to do which is stamping, I am now looking forward in trying my hand at more of them.

I also wanted to mention in my post tonight that Purple Onion Designs is having a big birthday sale, the company is turning 7 and Everything is 25% until Monday, 26th July, so why not go on over and take a little shopping spree!

Well I look forward to knowing what you all think of my layout and I cannot wait to return tomorrow with another creation.

Oh and nearly forgot to mention that the video that I was going to bring you of the project that I was working on, sorry at present it has fallen in a flop. I will try to bring you something very soon, I promise.

So I am off to watch a little TV and surf the net.

Hugs

Hi Everyone! So having the weekend off is fabulous, I felt like a truck had run me over this morning…LOL, so not much has been done around the old house, I have actually spent a bit of time surfing the net and just this afternoon went into the craft room and decided to create. I am hoping that I do more tonight. So how is your weekend going? Any major plans for you weekend ahead?

So I wanted to share a card today that I am entering into the Caardvarks challenge this month, I have not enter any other competitions apart from Hero Arts and I thought it was about time I did so. So I pulled out a new stamp set the other day from My Favourite Things and created.

100_4224

I started with green card stock, cut to size, folded in half and using the Polka Dot Basics 2 stamp set from Papertrey Ink, I stamped medium sized polka dots using some Papertrey Ink, Spring Moss ink and covered the entire front of the card, I set this aside to dry. Next, taking some white card stock I stamped one of my all time favourite stamps right now from My Favourite Things, Pure Innocence line, called Flower Girl, I coloured her in with my Copics and using some blue ink added some sky toning using sponging. I cut a small piece of purple card stock, just enough to show around the edge of the image and adhered each piece together. I mounted the image to the front of the card using some foam dimensionals and lastly, I added a Hero Arts sentiment from the Birthday Sayings stamp set at the bottom of the card.

A really fun and sweet image to colour and I cannot wait to purchase more of these sweet little stamps, it is funny to think that I so want the whole collection, Hmmmm? Is that wrong?? LOL.

If you are thinking about buying any of these cute little images, it is so worth the investment.

So I hope you enjoy the start of your weekend and I look forward to returning tomorrow to show you another creation.

Hugs.

Hi Everyone! So as most of you know, I have been invited to be a Hero Hostess for the wonderful company Hero Arts, my term will last for 3 months and I could not be more excited and honoured to be taking on this position. I along with 5 other super, ultra, talented ladies, Barb, Kryssi, Nancy, Robin and Jenny will be the hostesses for this period.

I can honestly tell you that working for this wonderful company is going to be amazing and I cannot thank them enough for honouring me in this position, lets hope I do them proud.

So as most of you also know, we were announced (for me late last night) and we had to come up with a theme to introduce ourselves and the wonderful Kryssi came up with the theme HELLO, we all jumped on board and got to work making our cards and well without further ado, this is my creation.

Hello - First Hero Hostess Card!

I started with kraft card stock, cut to size, folded in half and using the Hero Arts, Flourish background stamp, I stamped over the entire front of the card using Colorbox Ink, Frost White, I set this aside to dry. Next, using some white card stock, I stamped the main flower from the Hero Arts, Tall Flower and coloured the outer petals of the flower in with my Copics. Once I was happy with the blending of the colour, I cut each of the petals out and adhered them all to form another flower, I added white pearls to the centre of the flower and set aside. Next, using more white and aqua card stock I cut a small strip of the aqua and larger strip of white and adhered the aqua to the white card stock. I stamped a sentiment from the Hero Arts, Everyday Sayings stamp set and then adhered this to the front of the card. Lastly, I attached the flower to the other side of the sentiment with some foam dimensionals and some more white pearls to the aqua strip to finish the card.

Here is closer view of the flower.

So there you have it, my first hostess creation.

I also just wanted to say a big thank you to Nancy for changing the colours of our aprons, I am so delighted with mine, I will be wearing this very proudly.

To my fellow hosti sisters, I am so looking forward to the venture ahead with you all, your creations for our introduction are simply superb.

To Tami, thank you for you wonderful support and welcoming to this wonderful position, I look forward to the time ahead with you also.

Lastly, to Hero Arts, thank you so much for bestowing this wonderful position on me, I could not be more delighted and truly honoured to be working with you. Thank you for being the kind, generous and welcoming company that you are.

I hope that you enjoy the card today and I will be back tomorrow with another creation for you.
