I hope you have all stayed as cool as you could be today for those in the Southern Hemisphere, a sweltering 50 degrees here today and for my overseas Fahrenheit people that equates to 122, can we say today SUCKED!!

We have this weather for the next week ahead too with no rain in sight, the drought is the most serious I have ever seen…

Okay so enough about the weather how about the card for this weeks Sketch Challenge, to find out the details on how you can enter and more inspiration just click over to HERE..

I chose to pull out the Just Beclaws set and colour up those cutie crabs..

I then added some stenciling with some Lemon Drop ink, adding some sun rays with the Radiating Rays Stencil..

Next, I trimmed some After Midnight card stock to match the sketch and on one of the strips I embossed a sentiment using white embossing powder..

I completed the card by adding my sweet crabbies…

I felt this could make a great masculine card..

I hope you have fun playing along this week..

  • Judy Keener

This card is amazing. I love the little crabs. This sketch has so many possibilities. Thank you.ReplyCancel

  • Oh I love this!ReplyCancel

Holy Dooley Joy! I thought Sydney was bad enough – but where you are just SUCKS even worse than us. The last couple of summers I have begun to live like a bat in a cave – awnings down, doors and windows shut to keep out the heat for as long as possible – crafting with lights on in the dark, and the air-con on all hours. Thank God my craft room has the air-con otherwise I’d never be able to do any. LOVE your sweet little crabby card – just gorgeous. Maybe the heat just brings out the best in you. Praying for rain all over Australia, especially for our poor farmers, their families and their stock and crops – so bad. Thanks so much for sharing and hope you survive the horrible heat. I HATE SUMMER! Bev. XXReplyCancel

Hi there

Back again tonight with another challenge and this time the latest color challenge, we currently sit at number 109 and I hope you will have some time to play along, to view loads of inspiration and details on how you can enter for a chance to win, just click HERE..

I decided to create a baby boy card and use matching card stock…

I took out the Stitched Alphabet and Numbers along with the colours of the challenge, Limelight, Blu Raspberry and Sno Cone card stock, running these through the die cutting machine..

I then took a piece of white card stock and using the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges, I trimmed a piece off the bottom of the card stock using this die, adhering the Kraft card stock to the back…

Next, I stamped out my images from the Hello, Little One stamp set and coloured them with Copics, die cutting then adding all the elements including the die cuts to my card..

I completed this card by stamping a sentiment and die cutting using a banner from the Hearts in a Row-Vertical…

Have fun creating, I will be back again real soon…

Well hello again

I hope you all have had fun shopping the latest release from MFT, plus I hope you have just as much fun creating with it all as I have this month..

We now move into some challenges for the month and the first one is the Sketch Challenge, current sketch 419, to view details on how you can enter for a chance to win and loads of inspiration, click HERE..

I took one of the images I had in my stash that I had coloured in the past from the Hog Heaven, I coloured these images using some Polychromos and even though he is rather a very pink pig, I still think he is super fun..

To follow the sketch I took some Homespun Gingham, trimmed a piece down and ran it through the die cutting machine die cutting a circle using the Inside and Out Stitched Circle, adding this piece of pattern paper to the card front using some foam tape for dimension..

I added my pig and fence and stamped a sentiment into the circle..

Next, I trimmed more pattern paper from the Homespun Gingham and added it to the base, along with a stamped sentiment strip and some twine..

I felt that the circle was a bit bare, so I quickly coloured up a balloon from the Somebunny set and added it as if the pig was carrying it along..

I look forward to seeing your creations this week..

Have a great day!

  • Bev Page

nearly had a typo – almost typed in BIGPONG! LOL. I did have a shower this morning. LOL> Okay – I just want to cuddle your cute little piggy. Today is finally here, the day to put your wish lists into action and start the buying process and I sure do hope you have a fun time doing so..

We are back again today along with some friends of MFT to share more inspiration for you using the January Release..

I chose to use Rainbows and Unicorns, stamping out the sweet little images and colouring with Copics, die cutting out and setting aside..

Next, I worked on the background piece of the card front, by using some Post-it tape, I taped off the edges of the card stock and using the Mini Cloud Stencil along with Blue Breeze ink, I added a cloud feature..

Onto more die cutting, I took a Stitched Heart Stax and die cut out of white card stock, adding this to the front of the card panel..

I then took Sno Cone, Lemon Chiffon and Tickled Pink card stocks and ran them through using the Once Upon a Rainbow, for the clouds I die cut white..

I added these to the heart then added my little coloured images, I completed this card by adding a scattering of sequins and a sentiment at the base..

Be sure to head over to the blog to see who is joining us this month and the inspiration from the Team..

Have a fantastic day and happy shopping..

Hi there

Gosh we are now at Day 1 this release has gone by so fast, I am sure you are just itching to create with it all..

I am sharing a little project today that actually is not a card..

I decided to take the Friendly Fox die and create a little stuffed toy, one that you could easily add some string to create an ornament..

I chose to create a grey fox, so die cutting different pieces for the assembling of the fox out of Steel Grey, Black Licorice, Sweet Tooth and Bubblegum Felt..

I ran the main body section through the die cutting machine twice and did a blanket stitch around the edge, adding some wadding to make him puff out a bit, I then glued the other pieces onto the main body and my little foxy was complete..

To add to his look, I was kindly gifted some Hershey Chocolates from beautiful Kim and so I took the Nugget Label and die cut pattern papers from the Sweet Stack, wrapping these around a few of the Hershey’s..

I really do hope you will have fun shopping which is now only a day away, please jump over to the Blog to check out the rest of the DT creations..

Have a fabulous day!

Hi again

Inching ever so close to being able to purchase I sure do hope you have loved the inspiration so far this month..

Today we have reached day 2 of the countdown and I share a card created using the free die for the month called Straight from the Heart..

To start this card off, I trimmed a piece of white card stock, to it I added a trimmed piece of Cotton Candy card stock along with a layering of Vellum that I embossed with white embossing powder the Scattered Hearts Background..

I then moved onto the heart to which I took a scrap piece of white card stock and blended Tickled Pink ink to, adding Ripe Raspberry ink over the Lots of Hearts Stencil, die cutting the Straight from the Heart…and with the arrow I die cut Gold Sparkle, adding the arrow through the heart then to the vellum..

I completed this card by stamping a sentiment to a white piece of card stock, sentiment from the Tweethearts stamp set and backed it with some more Gold Sparkle card stock, adding this under the heart on the card and a scattering of Clear Sequins..

I do love to layer different elements together at times, just to give a different look and a great way of using many different products..

Now time to hop on over to the blog to see the rest of the inspiration..

I will be back with Day 1 tomorrow..
