MFT July Release Countdown Day 1!

Hi there

YAY!! finally last day of the countdown, tomorrow is shopping day and I am sure you are all going to want everything in this release..

I cannot thank you enough for stopping by these last few days and leaving lovely comments on my blog..

Remember to head to the blog as there are loads more creations to see today..

Today, I am sharing a shaker card using the Mermaid for Each Other..

Stamping out a little mermaid colouring with Copics and Polychromos and die cutting then setting aside..

I then took a panel of Bristol paper and applied After Midnight, Tropical Teal, Summer Splash and Sno Cone to the panel, flicking water over the top once blended and setting aside until dry..

Once dry, I added some white gel pen dots and adhered a few sequins..

I then took another panel of white card stock and die cut into the panel using the A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax, I needed a die big enough to sit around the inked panel..

I adhered acetate to the back of the die cut then a double thickness of foam tape, adding sequins to the inside of this..

Back to the inked panel, I took the die Under the Sea and using the card stocks, Limelight, Electric Red, Coral Crush and Kraft, I die cut coral, seaweed and stones to which I then placed at the bottom of the inked panel..

I sealed up the shaker and placed my little mermaid on top of the acetate along with a sentiment that I stamped and embossed with white embossing powder and die cut using the Skinny Strips..

Completing this card by adding this to a Sno Cone card base..

I think I put a little too many sequins but hey it is nice and sparkly :)

Okay, have a great day!

Hugs

Joy, I just love your work. I especially love this card. Thank you for the inspiration. I love this mermaid to use for my little nieces – because she is wearing floaties. You know, if a mermaid is wearing floaties, it is totally cool!!ReplyCancel
