MFT June Release Countdown Day 3!

Hi

I hope you are enjoying your weekend and more importantly I hope that you are enjoying seeing all of the sneaks of the June Release for MFT..

There have been loads of inspiration from the design team so be sure to get even further inspired by visiting the BLOG..

Today we are at Countdown Day 3, so it is inching closer to the day that you get to shop..

I have a different look of a card today, something I haven’t done in a long time, which is a bit of layering in a simple way..

I chose to use the Stamp and Die set called You Float my Boat, this is such a cutie set and great for all types of ages for a cute male cards..

I have to admit, I was finding it hard to stamp out the image so that it would line up with the die, my solution, was to die cut it out of some scrap card stock and then layer that on top of my piece I wanted to stamp onto, adding the stamp into that section and with the aid of the Misti, I was able to line up pretty much perfect..

Stamping each section of the little boat with a different colour, Pineapple for the sails, Cherry Crisp for the flag and After Midnight for the boat, die cutting the boat and setting aside..

I then went about the layering process, by trimming down pattern paper from Sweet Sunshine paper pad and some Vellum, adhering some twine around the blue pattern paper and adding these to a trimmed piece of white card stock..

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the same stamp set onto a trimmed piece of white card stock, adding this to the layered paper…

Using more white card stock to die cut some waves using the Ocean Waves die, adding this also to the layered paper, along with the little boat..

I completed my card by die cutting a little anchor out of Black Licorice card stock, adding this to the twine and 3 gold sequins..

I look forward to joining you all again tomorrow, for now, enjoy viewing the amazing creations..

Hugs
