MFT March Release Replay

Hope you all had a great weekend, I sure did, spent time with wonderful friends at a craft retreat, I must admit, not as much crafting as there was sight seeing, laughs, plenty of good food and fun times for me..

Whilst I was away however I did create today’s card, which is Release Replay time for MFT..

I share a card using not just the new stamps in the March release but also some of the new Distress Oxide inks and they are super fun to play with..

I took a piece of white card stock and applied Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick, Worn Lipstick and Walnut Stain, I blended these colours together until I was happy with the over all look and I have to say, they blend like butter…I flicked some water over the top to help the oxides wick, I know I need to do a lot more play with these but they were fun..

It was time to take out some images and stamp and colour these in, so I took the Critter Clan images and die cut these out once coloured in, I also die cut Black Licorice card stock several times using the Stitched Rectangle Scalloped Edge Frames, adding this to the blended card stock, along with the coloured images..

To complete the card I took one of the sentiments from the stamp set, inking up with Versamark and embossing with white embossing powder onto some Kraft, die cutting this out using the Stitched Sentiment Strips and my card was complete..

Be sure to swing past the blog today to check out what the rest of the team have install for you..

I will be sharing some cards I created whilst I was away on the craft retreat over the next few days so stay tuned..
