MFT March Card Kit Day 2

Today here on the little old blog is day 2 of the March Card Kit sharing for MFT, super sweet kit and I sure hope you are enjoying what you have been seeing from the design team..

I have to say I am struggling card creating at present with being quite sick, but trying I guess and I guess with the simple card I shared with you all yesterday, you all loved and I cannot thank you all enough for the lovely comments you have shared here on my blog and my social media outlets, means so much :)

So onto today’s card, keeping the look pretty simple but with a bit of impact..

I stamped out the flowers that I wished to use on the card, coloured in roughly with Copics and added some detailing with white gel pen, die cutting out and setting aside..

Next, I trimmed a piece of Smooth White card stock down to be slightly smaller then the card front, and taking some Summer Splash ink I applied a small area so that the area below the flowers there would be a soft glow..

I then took a piece of Black Licorice card stock and a sentiment from the More Essential Sentiments, this stamp set is contained within the kit, I inked up with Versamark and embossed the sentiment to one side of this card stock, adding this strip to the white card stock, then went about adding my flowers so they would hang down under the strip..

To add more to the card I took the Hello die from the Thanks and Hello die set, die cutting several layers of Cement Gray card stock and adhering each layer together, adding this to the other side of the sentiment on the Black Licorice strip..

Completing the card by adding a scattering of Clear Sequins..

Now time for you to head on over to the MFT Blog to see more inspiration..

Until tomorrow..
