MFT March Card Kit Day 1

Hi there

Are you all excited to see the new card kit that is up for grabs this month at MFT?

I created a fairly simple card using the Doodle Flowers stamp set that is contained in this kit and was super inspired by my dear friend Laura Bassen, so much so that I am calling this card the Laura card :)

I chose to use some Smooth White card stock and inked up with Versamark several of the flowers from the stamp set, stamping over one side of the card and applying white embossing powder…once I was happy with how many were stamped out, I took Tropical Teal and Summer Splash and applied ink over the embossed area, making sure to feather off at the end to give a soft look..

I then took the word Hugs from the Twice the Hugs die set and die cut several layers out of white card stock, adhering each layer together, then with the blended card stock I took the die once again and die cut into this..

I layered the card onto a white card base and with the hugs die, I put his back into the die cut space and stamped a sentiment out onto Black Licorice card stock from the sentiment stamp called More Essential Sentiments contained within the kit, die cutting it with the Interactive Rectangle Word Window..

Lastly, finishing my card off with Clear Sequins…

I hope you will pop on over to the blog today to see more fabulous inspiration from the design team..

I will be back with Day 2 of the Card Kit tomorrow..

Hugs
