Hogs & Kisses!

Good morning!

Sunday morning here and Bentley and I have been up early, so there may be a nap in the near future today :)

First load of washing is out on the line and so it is time to sit with a cuppa and write up a post for you all..

If you saw my sneak peek on Instagram of the card I created last night, well I decided to share the full reveal of it this morning..

I have been slowly working my way through stamps and dies that have been sitting in my collection of goods for a little while now and last night it was time to pull out Green Pastures and The Whole Herd from MFT..

Colouring up the little girl and paper piecing her shirt, also colouring the little cutie pie pig from The Whole Herd, die cutting them out and setting them aside..I then worked on the background feature on my card, taking the Sun Ray stencil also from MFT and using Duckling and Goldenlocks ink from Simon Says Stamp, inking up the stencil, I chose to only partially ink the stencil to give beautiful soft rays.

I then trimmed apart the card stock to leave a section for a sentiment that I embossed onto black card stock to go into the space provided, once this was adhered I then used foam tape and added the other sections back, this of course was added to another piece of card stock as backing..

Finishing off the card by adding my images and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins..

I just love how this card turned out, it was so fun..

Well that is all for today, I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend, I am off to finish my cuppa before it goes cold..

Hugs

  • Simply gorgeous card! Thanks so much for sharing your process in making this card, Joy – it is so helpful to know that you don’t necessarily have to know exactly how it will look before you start – often a stumbling block to my creativity lol!ReplyCancel
