Penguins in Paradise!

Cold and rainy day here, so not a lot will be done apart from some lounging around and maybe a little crafting..

Seeing as I am lounging around I wanted to pop in and share a card using the My Favorite Things, Penguins in Paradise..I mean seriously these penguins are just the cutest and so fun..

I loved that I was able to use many products from different companies to pull this card together..

I first started out by selecting the penguin images that I wanted to use on a card, stamped them out and coloured them in with my Copics, adding a little shimmer on a couple of the images using the Zig Clear Wink of Stella..

Setting the images aside, I then worked with the Mama Elephant, Index Card Die to create a speech bubble section to add the sentiment and also a border to give the card a little extra something..

I love seeing all the soft blending happening on cards from Laura Bassen and Melania Deasy of late and I wanted to do the same to this card, but not have a huge spans, so adding a little under the speech bubble area, giving it a beautiful sunset feel, using inks from Simon Says Stamp, Hollyhock and Duckling and can I just say that these blend beautifully, so much so, I have just placed an order for some more yummy inks..

I stamped out the sentiment and added a little heart die cut, then went about assembling the card and images to complete..

I have sent this card off to a very good friend of mine and hoping that it brightens her day and puts a smile on her face, I am trying to get into the habit to sending more cards now, as I have a huge stock pile of them..

Okay I am off to hang some washing out inside near the heater and see what the rest of the day will hold, which as I said won’t be a lot..

Have a wonderful day!
