Especially for You!

Happy Weekend!

So nice to have some down time after a really long and busy week..

Managed to have a lie in bed this morning, even some breakfast in bed, which is always nice, surfed the net, did only a small amount of house work and then spent most of the day in the craft room, for which I have been totally missing..

I was so inspired this morning after seeing THIS video from Dawn Woleslagle, in fact all her videos inspire me, she is so flipping talented and an amazing artist…

Wanting to play with the Hero Arts, Bird stamp that I am ashamed to say has been sitting in my craft room for some time, but thrilled to have played with it today and had my first go at water colouring a bird..

It was so fun and yet so relaxing, I paired this bird up with some pattern papers from Teresa Collins and Heidi Swapp, adding a stamped sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and additional elements of sewing thread, wood veneer, enamel dots and a Tim Holtz mini paper clip…

I am really enjoying water colouring, when I get the chance to just play and if you are wanting to learn more, then I would definitely suggest playing and watching You Tube channels like the WPlus9, where Dawn shows so many tips and tricks along the way..

Hope you all enjoy what is left of your day and that you certainly get some play time in your crafty area..

Hugs

I KNOW! Dawn’s work is so freaking amazing. I just sit watching with my mouth hanging open. But just look how well you’ve got her techniques down. Personally, I love this little bird, too and you’re the one that is inspiring me to get it out and watercolor it. You’ve done such a fab job on this card.ReplyCancel
