MFT Sketch 173!

Hello

I have been MIA the last few days, just been busy resting!

However, some new goodies arrived and I have been itching to try them out and I did just that, played along again with the new sketch over at MFT..

I knew what I wanted to create and was so pleased that what was in my head actually turned out :) doesn’t that make you happy when you can achieve that!

So the sketch this week which you can check out HERE..was so up my alley, more clean and simple style..

I chose to create a little city scene, using the stencil Sun Ray, applying Mustard Seed and Wild Honey, then stamping the City Scape from You’re Super stamp set with black ink and corner round the corners on the card stock.

Next, I die cut the sweet little gal or boy if you choose from the You’re Super die set out of white card stock and stamped the corresponding stamp, colouring the image in with my copics..

I wanted this to be more of a birthday card, so I die cut one of the sentiments from the Accent It die set out of black card stock and added it to a white banner..

Adhering all these pieces to a trimmed piece of Kraft card stock, adding a star die cut from Electric Red card stock using the Star Stax die set, a stamped sentiment from the same stamp set and red enamel dots…

Lastly, adhering this to a white card to complete the card and my take on the sketch..

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Hugs

  • Great take on the sketch! I love the background scene you’ve created and the way you put the sentiment.ReplyCancel

  • She is SUPER cute! Love your city scape. :)ReplyCancel

  • Joy, this is terrific! I love the scene you created. I like how the stencil is concentrated in the center so a sun ray can be very big or small for scene scale. I think I need that now, too! Awesome coloring.

I just laughed out loud at your comment “busy resting.”ReplyCancel
