Back to share my other Butterfly card I created for Darkroom Door, now if you are a follower of Darkroom Door then you will have already seen this card over there on the BLOG.. But if not, I wanted to pop in here and share it too..
You may have even seen a sneak that I share of the butterfly on this card on Instagram…I coloured the main image with water colour paint and once dried I added 2-3 coats of Wink of Stella Clear to give the butterfly loads of sparkle…
The circle die cut feature, I stamped the Harlequin Background stamp onto water colour paper and embossed with clear embossing powder, then coloured the background with more water colour paints until I was happy with the result, finding that the butterfly in the end was blending too much into the background, so to rectify this I die cut a piece of vellum to sit over the top, just to soften a fraction, but not take away too much of the colour.
I placed the butterfly on top of some sewing thread and adhered to the centre of the circle die cut, along with words cut from the Paris Vol 1 Wordstrips..
I finished off giving the card a different look and dimension but stamping the French Script Background stamp on the diagonal and embossing with white embossing powder, giving it a tone on tone effect..
Well I am off to try and do a bit of crafting, I hope you all enjoy your day too :)
