Hello! Not much news to report in today apart from the weather being beautiful, cannot wait for Autumn to arrive. Anyway, enough small talk lets get straight into the card for today.
I started with playing around with my distress inks and some watercolour paper, I decided to place Fired Brick, Dried Marigold, Dusty Concord and Shabby Shutters all at separate times onto my non stick craft sheet and spritz with water using my Ranger Mini Mister and place my watercolour paper over the ink to soak up, I let all 3 pieces of paper to dry and thought now what will I do with them? So I decided why not stamp an image of a flower over them to make instant colour onto the stamped image, hence I reached for my Hero Arts, Big and Small Flowers stamp set and stamped several times over the inked paper with the small flower and the little leaf that is in the set. I then proceeded to cut each piece out along with some additional leaves, I set these aside.
For the cards I used Spellbinders, Labels 1 largest die in the set and cut Kraft card stock 6 times to make fronts and backs for cards , I then stamped Dots background stamp from Darkroom Door in Versamark Ink and used clear embossing powder and heat set. I attatched the fronts and backs together to form a card, once the cards were made, I blended some Ranger, Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy around the edges, I then attatched the flowers and leaves on all 3 cards with some dimensionals and glue dots and went on to make 3 tags with white card stock, blended the edges with Ranger, Distress Ink, Brushed Corduroy, added a sentiments on each using Hero Arts, Everyday Sayings, Thank You Sayings and Birthday Sayings stamps. I finished the tags of with a little twine on the end of the sentiments and added dimensionals and placed onto the card.
I hope that you enjoy today’s posting, I will be back tomorrow for another one.
Have a great night everyone!
