Poofy Flower Card

Afternoon everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend as well as Valentines Day. I had a short day at work today so it was nice to come home and relax a bit.

Today’s card I had made an extra sentiment tag yesterday whilst making the card that I have posted about on post below this one, so I decided to put it to use and make an extra card for today’s posting.

I started with Papertrey Inks, Chocolate Brown card stock for base of the card, I then took some Colorbox Ink, Frosted White and stamped the Hero Arts, Dots and Flourishes stamps in 3 different places onto the brown card, set this aside and went onto making a poofy flower (Dawn McVey has a great tutorial on this) I spritz it with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Pearl and left it to dry, once dry I added a K & Company, Hannah, Brad through the centre to hold it together. I added some dimensionals under the flower and added it to the card where the 3 stamped flourishes joined in the middle, I added some rhinestones to the flourishes and lastly, I added my sentiment tag with dimensionals to the bottom of the card along with a few more rhinestones. The sentiment tag I had cut 2 small strips of Papertrey Ink, Aqua Mist card stock and stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts, Thank You Sayings in black ink, and added dimensionals.

I hope that you find todays card inspirational and I do hope that you all have a fabulous Monday night.

Thanks for stopping by!

  • Awesome card, Joy! I’m glad you explain them on here. I hadn’t even noticed the dots and flowers stamped in the background. When I look close-up, I can see it, and it looks great! Love that Aqua color with the brown! :)ReplyCancel
